Story of Vastu Purush

Story and concept of Vastu Purush in Vastu Shastra:

Lord Brahma, the supreme creator gave the divine knowledge of Vastu to our sages.  There is a mythological story in Matsya Purana connected with the birth of Vastu Purush. There was a demon in Treta Yuga, who terrorised the whole world and became a source for trouble for every living being. The Gods got enraged by his acts of brutality and on advice of lord Brahma, burried him into the ground with his head set in inverted position. They also started guarding those places wherever they were positioned.
So in Vastu, those places are recognised  as the places of of Gods and the burried demon was called Vastu Purush by the creator Brahma. He also proclaimed that construction on the earth will only be successful when worshiped and respected. This worship and respect does not only merely means rituals but also taking care of weak sensitive organs of Vastu Purush by loading them appropriately.

So some of the points about how we visualise Vastu Purush are the following:

⇒Vastu purush is visualised as a man lying with his back upside with his head towards the northeast corner.
⇒His elbows are bent towards the northwest and southeast directions respectively and his knees touch the elbows.
⇒The feet of Vastu Purush and soles conjoin towards the southwest corner.
⇒In this scheme the navel part of the demon coincides with the centre point of any plot known as Brahma Sthana.

There is another story about Vastu purush in Matsya Purana.Lord Shiva killed Andhakasur. At that time, some drops of Shiva's sweat fell on the ground. From those drops,a giant demon appeared. He started worshipping lord Shiva and got a boon that he can consume anybody. He started eating everything and in the process fell on the ground facing down.Immediately, 45 dieties sat on his body and did not allow him to get up.This demon lying with face down is known as Vastu Purush and is required to worship.

We can get a message from this puranic story which is required to undertood about the Vastu Purush and 45 dieties.

🌎Andhakasur means the darkness or ignorance prevalent on Earth.Shiva means Sun.

🌎The droplets of sweat falling from Shiva's forehead are the Sun's rays falling on Earth to remove darkness.

🌎The power/energies recieved from the Sun's rays are the dieties.

The names of the dieties in various directions along with the image of Vastu Purush is given in the diagram below 👆

Examination of Hand in Palmistry

Examination of the left hand or Right hand in Palmistry? According to ancient treatise on palmistry(Samudrika Shastra),a women's left hand and a man's right hand should be read for making predictions. But in modern age,as women have become equally capable as men, research shows that the left hand indicates the qualities of a person and right hand indicates the changes brought in life according to his/her karma.       As a result, the active hand with which a person is writes should be considered more important and the other hand should be taken as minor hand. There is no need to distinguish between men and women in this score.      For example,if a right handed person has some defect in the life line of the left hand(indicating qualities),but at the same point the life line of the right hand(karma) has no defects,it can be said that the person may have some health issues, surgeries, etc at that point of life which will get cured by treatment(karmas).     Thus the palmist should iden
