Importance of Plant and Trees in Vastu
Trees and plants play an important role in Vastu and give us peace, happiness, prosperity and good health. Some trees and plants are considered auspicious in Vastu while some are considered inauspicious and give negative results. Unless our environment is pure and auspicious even Vastu can't yield benefic results. On the other hand if the environment is clean and pure, It wards of many Vastu Faults.

Some important tips for planning and designing your Garden as per vastu:
• The main entrance door should always be added with green plants, foliage and flowers as the native of this place feels mental peace and happiness.
• Any big tree should not be planted in front of the main door as it is an indicator of vedha and blocks the positive energy.
• In the middle Axis which joins the main entrance door and the backside portion, no plant should be planted over there as this plant gives negative results.
• Any cactus plant should never be planted in the premises of the building as the presence of this plant increases tension in the house and brings bitterness in relationships.
• Plum tree in any premis create enemity among workers and they suffer rivalry and competition with each other.
• Since ages tulsi plant is considered very sacred in the houses. Tulsi plant in any business or industrial premis is very auspicious and saves the environment from pollution.
• Person associated with education field must plant and nurture Amla,Pakad, Paras and Gular in the premises. But Shadow of these trees should not reach the building. These trees should be planted in auspicious directions according to Vastu principles.
• A Bilwa tree planted in the West direction in the premises give happiness to the worker or residence of that place in a business.
• A growing Creeper upside is very auspicious in the premises of any business or industrial premise like a money plant.
• Large trees, like the peepal, should not be planted too close to the house as their roots can damage the foundation of the house. The trees that attract insects, worms, honey bees or serpents should be avoided in the garden. They bring bad luck.
• The number of trees planted in a garden should be in even number like 2, 4 ,6 ,8 etc.
Placement of trees according to Vastu Shastra
• Avoid planting trees in the north-east corner. Smaller shrubs may be planted on east or north sides.
• The morning rays of the sun should not be blocked. Large trees will block most of the sunlight and the house will not receive light and positivity.
• Coconut trees can be planted in the south-west. Trees should be planted in such a manner that its shadow should not fall on the house between 9 AM to 3 PM.
• Avoid large trees like peepal and banyan very close to your house, as their roots can damage the foundation and compound wall.
• Plants that give out sap (a milky sticky substance) should be strictly avoided, as per Vastu for plants.
Plants and trees make the environment neat and healthy as the inhale the poisonous and harmful gases present in the environment. Hence plants and trees not only maintain the balance in environment but they are equally important for the existence of living beings on Earth.
